Entry 12/28/2020

Hey Family!
I hope that this entry finds you well! We made it through the Holidays! YES! lol Now we can get back to our regularly scheduled programs and lives. I don't know about for you but the commotion, accommodations, spending and planning in November/December knock me off of my perfectly configured square. Yes, I've been told that I can be a bit Type A.. lol
Anyhow, I wanted to fill you in on a little something...
....for the next few days I will be attempting to end the year with my 2020 goal for CandaceGreen.net met. What was that goal? 52 blog posts this year honey! Yes, 52, 1 per week or in this case 3.67 blog posts per day for the net 3 days! Whew!
There have been a few things that have taken place that I've noted to come back and share with you and the lessons learned as a result of these occurrences.
What was my lesson learned today?
Yeah, you are right, there was a lesson learned today which prompted me to write and re-visit my goal... well here it is:
Baby! DO NOT STAY IN YOUR PARKED CAR AT THE DOLLAR TREE SHOPPING PLAZA.
Or any parking lot for that matter.
Today, my vehicle was hit by another driver while I was parked, "minding my pretty lil' business" smh ...I guess the other driver didn't see the black SUV right alongside the parking space that she tried pulling into... eh!
The additional three minutes that I took to get may bearings together opened the window for the accident to happen. Was it my fault, of course not! But just like many things in life we can take that extra 1, 2, or 3 minutes to prepare, adjust, breathe or often times
second-guess ourselves and before we know it, BAM! ...That little window of time allowed an entry-way for something else to exist; be it a collision, distraction or detour which ultimately adjusts or takes of off course.
So am I annoyed by filing police reports, calling my insurance company, etc.? Heck yes!
Yet, I'm choosing to see this as a lesson, a lesson to go from one step to the other in life without letting the idle time get the best of me. Because guess what? I was supposed to be well on my way to get a nice warm white chocolate mocha (decaf, please... no whip!) but I got a bit too comfortable and second-guessed my intended destination.
How many times does this happen to us on a larger scale? Where/when have you gotten too comfortable or even over-thought something? Hmmmm
I'm sure that you can pinpoint a couple of occasions.
See...there is always something to learn if we are open to see and take heed!
Let's all do our parts as we go into 2021, stay diligent, stick to our script and don't let anything curb our appetites for reaching the intended destination.
*Oh and yes, everyone is well and no-one was harmed during today's run-in.
Stay tuned for more posts love!
Be well, safe & always open to God's overflow,
Candace
