With so much going on in the world today, it’s easy for us to get caught up in the negative and tragic events; often times even taking on someone else’s journey, pain and circumstance and making it our own. When doing this it is likely that we become hyper-sensitive to a perceived threat or danger which will then create fear. I know, I’ve been there!
Listening to a Joyce Meyer sermon this afternoon with the intention to get grounded and switch my focus, her words resonated with me. “Fear is actually faith in what the enemy says to/about us”. WOW! When broken down in that manner, I couldn’t help but to take a step back and analyze what my fears are, how they impact my life and how they can hold me back. Now I truly believe that fear and intuition are not the same. Intuition is a soft voice, which we can consider the Holy Spirit...whereas fear is often loud and chaotic and most times isn’t based in anything true. It’s crucial that we are aware of our fears and push through them, not suggesting to put ourselves in harms way but to truly trust God to guide our steps, use our best judgement and live abundantly and freely!
Of course, ridding your fear(s) may take time, and that’s ok!! Simply be patient with yourself and make strides to overcome this emotion daily. After all, the only good that can come from fear is when we employ it to draw closer to Him, being present and remaining in gratitude. Doing so will then move out the fear and open a newfound peace and joy. Let’s agree together to push beyond our fears and intend on living vibrantly and passionately!
Be Fearless,
Candace
